In a recent address, Mayor Benjamin Magalong commended the integrity and respectful manners displayed by the city’s taxi and jeepney drivers. Their exemplary behavior, he noted, has become a source of pride for Baguio.
The city government is regularly receiving reports of good deeds performed by these public utility transport drivers, further bolstering the city’s reputation as a “character city.”
“Please maintain these endearing traits that set our city apart from other localities,” Mayor Magalong urged. However, the Mayor also acknowledged the presence of some rude and unkind drivers among the city’s transport providers.
He encouraged commuters and the public to report any misconduct by drivers who disregard traffic rules, behave rudely towards passengers, or compromise the safety of others.
To report such incidents, please call the 911 emergency hotline or the Traffic Enforcement Unit at +639177024621
The Mayor advised, emphasizing that the city does not tolerate bad behavior in its public transport sector.
