In a remarkable demonstration of resilience and determination, Anthony Mark Dulawan Emocling, a resident of Baguio City, has made history by becoming the first visually impaired Filipino Lawyer. This inspiring achievement was recently recognized and celebrated by the city government of Baguio.

Graduating Cum Laude with a degree in Political Science from the University of Baguio, Emocling has proven that physical limitations are no barrier to achieving greatness.

Mayor Magalong, Vice Mayor Faustino Olowan, and members of the City Council presented Emocling with a framed copy of city resolution number 233 (series of 2023) during the Monday Flag Raising Ceremony held at the city hall grounds.

This recognition reflects the city’s commitment to celebrating diversity and inclusivity, and acknowledging the tremendous efforts of individuals who rise above challenges to make a significant impact on society.
